RST FZ-LLC was founded by Sultan Thomas in 2001 to deepen his roots in the U.A.E following years of success in the region.
With decades of experience and achievements in Lebanon, he expanded to tackle the Gulf. 
The idea for a career in this industry came as a shock to the Lebanese community in the late 1980’s.
Sultan had just gotten back from studying in Europe, earning a degree in the medical field.
Being in your 20’s in that region exposed him to concerts for Madonna and Sting in France and Belgium, and this inspired him.
The lighting industry was almost non-existent in the Middle East compared to the West, and he seized that opportunity.
While he faced many obstacles, he forged strong bonds with the best international suppliers,
and fought through to become the biggest in the region.
He started with local talents such as ‘Caracalla’, ‘Majida El Roumi’ and ‘Feiruz’,
and eventually the industry grew to accommodate international artists.
In its 30 years, Sultan’s company in Lebanon has lit the stage for Elton John, Cat Stevens, Scorpions, Yanni, Lana Del Rey, Mireille Mathieu,
and hundreds of other local, regional and international artists.

With the Middle East becoming a hub for tourists, especially the U.A.E, Sultan Thomas had the honor of meeting people
who opened the door for a strong base in Dubai.
As of 2023, we handle UAE-based clubs such as Bazaar, White, Iris and Mezcaleria. 
RST has its own fully equipped studio that has hosted TV shows such as Coke Studio,
and commercials featuring many celebrities like Will Smith, Gerard Butler and Cristiano Ronaldo.
RST’s strong foundation in the U.A.E has also granted it access to major royal weddings in the K.S.A
and other corporate events like the Jeddah Economical forum, and more recently the Riyadh Book Fair.
These successes paved the way for participation in what we call the ‘2019 boom’.
In a groundbreaking move, the Jeddah and Riyadh seasons hosted an array of artists for months, attracting international tourists.

The events were so large in scale that they created a new standard for events in the region,
and RST is proud to have taken part in such a defining period in the industry.

Following the unfortunate passing of Sultan in June of 2022, his two children carried his legacy.
In the past year, his son Robin has managed to exceed expectations, with nothing but success for the 2022 Riyadh Calendar,
2023 Jeddah Season events, and the "Jeddah Tour" - a series of concerts all around the Kingdom.
